God (Jesus) is the perfect artist. All the images we see with our eyes were created by Him and are correctly done. The shadows all make sense. The highlights all make sense. In there proper and original context, all objects and shapes make sense–whether they're transparent, translucent or opaque. The colors are just the right hues–Visually it all makes sense! He made the rules of how things would look under natural sunlight, artificial light, ultraviolet light...even black light (for special effects). Look at the way direct sunlight effects the appearance of an object. Then look at how that same object appears with indirect sunlight on a cloudy day. All of those appearances were planned and orchestrated by the Master Artist. Even textures were planned to appear a certain way under a given light condition: shiny surfaces, rough surfaces, cloth, wood–you name it, He decided how it would look. As the Bible states: "there is nothing made that wasn't made by Him" (The Gospel of John 1:1-3).

John Lennon wrote the song 'Imagine' which pretty much left us imagining that we would be far better off if we had nothing left to imagine. Take away an artist's imagination and what have you got...an empty canvas and an empty world. God gave all of us an imagination. Sometimes it's very similar to other people's and sometimes it's very different. As an artist, I can't imagine God not orchestrating how we would visually perceive things–even if I tried. The most amazing thing to me is when we see things as God intended us to, it all makes sense...we've got His Word on it.
